Mets maul Phillies in home finale, presented by W.B. Mason

Robert Gsellman pitched a career-high seven innings and Asdrubal Cabrera hit a grand slam as the Mets walloped the Phillies, 17-0, in the regular-season finale at Citi Field on Sunday.

  • Gsellman (3-2) worked a career-high seven innings and allowed three hits and two walks while striking out a personal-best eight batters. His bunt single in the second was his first Major League hit.
  • Cabrera's third career grand slam and 23rd home run of the year was the Mets' seventh slam of the season.
