NEW YORK — Matt Harvey may be the Dark Knight, but that doesn't make him immune to sickness.
Despite not feeling well, the Mets ace overcame illness to help the Mets defeat the Miami Marlins, 7-6, on Sunday afternoon at Citi Field. With the win, the Mets completed the sweep and secured their eighth consecutive victory.
Harvey (3-0) wasn't at his best against Miami, as he allowed a season-high four earned runs on eight hits while striking out seven and walking none in six-plus innings. However, Harvey had to battle through more than just the Marlins' lineup on Sunday — he also had to contend with a recent bout of illness.
