MIAMI — Finally, it’s go time for David Wright.
Wright has ramped up his workouts and is in the middle of a five-day session. If he comes through them without any problems with his back, the next step will be rehab games and then shortly after that he could be back in the first-place Mets lineup.
And he’ll be batting second, manager Terry Collins said Tuesday.
“I’m planning on coming back and being an everyday player,’’ Wright said before the Mets played the Marlins at Marlins Park. “It’s nice to be back in the grind again, rather than being secluded to the therapy room.
