New York’s National league team trounced the Rangers, extending their winning streak to six games with a 14-2 win in the series opener. The Mets’ lineup was simply excellent, as the team racked up 22 hits en route to scoring all of those runs. And David Peterson had his best start since returning to the Mets’ rotation, as he went six innings, gave up two runs, and struck out six batters while allowing three walks and just four hits.
As for all those runs, well, here we go.
