Mets’ limp lineup, SS woes surface in another shutout loss

The Mets lineup made the Floyd-Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight seem entertaining by comparison this weekend. Another defensive miscue by a shortstop — this time it was Ruben Teajda, not Wilmer Flores — led to the game’s only run as the scuffling Mets are now threatening to turn all the early positive vibes into a distant memory.

The struggling Mets were shutout 1-0 for the second straight day by the Nationals on Sunday, dropping their seventh game in the last 10 on the heels of their 11-game winning streak. The last time the Mets lost back-to-back 1-0 games was 25 years ago, Sept 4-5, 1990.
