Mets' Juan Uribe leaves game with chest contusion

Juan Uribe left Sunday night's game against the Yankees after injuring himself diving for a ground ball in the third inning. ESPN reported that trainers were checking out the infielder's collarbone.

Uribe stayed down on the turf in short right field for several minutes after corralling the Brett Gardner grounder. The play proved to be crucial, as it prevented Jacoby Ellsbury from scoring and eventually led to a scoreless frame when Carlos Bentran flew out to right field for the third out.

Uribe remained in the game after the incident and grounded out to second in the bottom half of the third, but Daniel Murphy replaced him at second base to start the fifth inning.
