Mets pitcher Jenrry Mejia has been suspended for 162 games without pay after testing positive for Stanzolol and Boldenone, MLB announced Tuesday.
The substances are considered performance-enhancing drugs under the league's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Mejia served an 80-game suspension earlier in the year after also testing positive for Stanzolol on April 11.

Mejia had pitched in just seven games this season. He had a 0.00 ERA, 0.818 WHIP and seven strikeouts in 7 1/3 innings.
The Mets traded minor-league pitcher Casey Meisner for Athletics closer Tyler Clippard on Monday.
