With the 6th pick in the 2018 MLB Draft, the New York Mets selected 18-year-old Wyoming product Jarred Kelenic. Thus far in his professional career, Kelenic has been crushing the ball and playing excellent defense.
In his professional debut on June 23rd, Kelenic went 3/4 with one RBI and two runs scored. Since then, he has not slowed down and has an impressive slashing line of .472/.525/.639 through nine games in the Gulf Coast League.
The lefty-hitting outfielder has already put together six multi-hit games in just nine games and is 17/36 thus far in his short professional career (Stats as of 7/5).
