With a record crowd at Citi Field Monday, Mets fever is alive and well in Queens. And while the the Mets talked all winter about being a playoff team, David Wright says it’s way too early to start worrying about October baseball. He even said this team should not be compared to the 2006 squad that rolled to the NL East title or the 2007 and 2008 teams that fell just short.
“Let’s not go crazy,” Wright said Monday of the Mets’ 4-3 record. “It’s early but I love the energy that these guys bring. I like the personality and the clubhouse atmosphere that we have.
