BALTIMORE — The Mets did not have time for Bobby Parnell to figure it out. On Tuesday they placed the veteran reliever, who is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, on the disabled list and recalled right-hander Logan Verrett.
“The game today is about your bullpen, pitching and starting pitching,” Terry Collins said. “You look at the teams that really have strong bullpens, they are playing very well.
“So we’ve got to certainly make sure our bullpen is in as good of shape as we can get it,” the Mets manager continued. “We hope Logan, as good as he was the first time here, that he can resume that.
