PITTSBURGH — David Wright and Travis d’Arnaud took big steps in their rehabs Friday, taking batting practice for the first time since getting hurt, at the Mets’ facility in Port St. Lucie.
The Mets are hoping they will be able to play in minor-league rehab games next week, but have not set a timetable for their major league returns.
Wright, who has been on the disabled list since April 15 with a right hamstring strain, is dealing with lower back pain he suffered during his rehab of the hamstring injury.
D’Arnaud has been on the disabled list since April 21 with a fractured right pinkie.
