In their new book, "Down on the Korner," authors Mark Rosenman and Howie Karpin take readers behind the scenes of Ralph Kiner's Kiner's Korner, which was his post game interview show following Mets home games.
Rosenman and Karpin relay stories about the show from people in production to players, such as Ron Darling, Doc Gooden, Keith Hernandez, Ron Hunt, Howard Johnson, Darryl Strawberry, Bobby Valentine, and many more.
It's a fun book. I thumbed through it the other night, and loved reliving these memories. As a kid, I likely took for granted that I could watch Mets games on TV, which was something the previous generation didn't always get to do.
