PHILADELPHIA — And on Wednesday night, David Wright rested. The Mets third baseman who played the first two games of the Phillies series coming off an extended stay on the disabled list took a scheduled night off, Terry Collins said.
“We’d already scheduled before he came back that he was going to get today (off). He is already scheduled to play the next three and then take the day game after the night game off,” Collins said. “We are making progress. He feels good today and that is a good sign. One thing I don’t want to do is kill this guy right out of the gate.
