The Mets' captain will be playing in a game tomorrow for the first time since April.
It's finally happening. After months of waiting and speculation, David Wright will play his first game since being diagnosed with spinal stenosis. Wright will be the designated hitter for the St. Lucie Mets tomorrow as he continues his journey back to the big leagues.
The Mets' captain began doing baseball activities about two weeks ago after spending almost two months in Los Angeles doing physical therapy for his back. The last time Wright saw game action was on April 14, when he left a game against the Phillies with a hamstring strain and was later diagnosed with spinal stenosis.
