Mets outfield prospect Brandon Nimmo is expected to miss four-to-six weeks with a sprained ACL and has been sent to Florida to rehab the injury, according to Lynn Worthy of the Press & Sun-Bulletin. The 2011 first-round draft pick got hurt running out an infield single.
The 22-year-old has appeared .297/.368/.420 with 28 strikeouts and 12 walks in 34 games for Binghamton this year. Coming into the season, he ranked third on our list of the Mets' top twenty-five prospects. At that time, Greg Karam said of Nimmo:
