Buddy Carlyle added himself to the Mets list of the walking wounded. So let’s do an update on the Mets injured players.
Carlyle was forced to leave Monday night’s game with lower back spasms. It is unclear how serious the injury is.
Bobby Parnell struggled in his rehab assignment return. He blew a save Monday in Port St. Lucie, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk. He also threw two wild pitches. It’s a good thing Jeurys Familia is pitching so well for the Mets because Parnell is not close to being ready.
Vic Black and Rafael Montero also appear far from returning to the Mets.
