Mets injury news: Wright could enter rehab games next week

David Wright fielded grounders and threw a baseball on Tuesday at Citi Field as he continues to work his way back from spinal stenosis, which has kept him out of action for roughly three weeks.

After Wright spoke with reporters, Terry Collins said the plan is for Wright to head to Port St. Lucie next week and potentially enter rehab games shortly after.

Wright began baseball activities in Los Angeles last week.

Wright has been out since the middle of April — first due to a hamstring strain and then because of the spinal stenosis in his back.
