Mets: How the Amazins’ can defeat Zack Greinke

Unfortunately, scoring runs off Zack Greinke is about as difficult as turning mud into oatmeal.

There is no formula for taking down the NL Cy Young contender. Only three teams tagged him for losses in 2015, and the Mets were not one of them.

Greinke logged 14 innings against the Mets this year and allowed just two runs. He earned one win and received a no-decision. He struck out just seven in those two starts while walking three and hitting two.

Greinke far from dominated the two starts, but the fact that the Mets could only scrape across two runs against him is an indicator of the type of game they should expect against him in the NLDS.
