Mets homer their way to 6-1 win, sweep Phillies

Lucas Duda and Travis d’Arnaud both homered, leading the Mets (6-3) to a 6-1 win and series sweep of the Philles (3-6).

Jon Niese pitched 6 1/3 innings, scattering nine hits. He allowed one earned run after a leadoff triple scored on Chase Utley ground ball. Niese walked two and struck out four.

D’Anaud went deep with a solo home run in the third inning and Duda parked the first pitch of the fifth inning over the outfield wall for his homer. Duda drove in another run with an RBI double in the sixth inning, plating d’Arnaud.
