Jacob deGrom pitched seven shutout innings as the Mets survived the bullpen’s shaky night and defeated the Marlins 5-4 Saturday at sold-out Citi Field for their seventh win in a row.
DeGrom (2-0, 0.93) scattered six hits and struck out eight with no walks and extended his scoreless streak to 18 1/3 innings. He struck out Giancarlo Stanton after falling behind 3-0 with two on and two out in the sixth.
The Mets bullpen — without the resting Jerry Blevins and Jeurys Familia — nearly blew it. Dee Gordon (5-for-5), got all three of his RBI off Mets relievers.
