The Mets hit five home runs against the Cubs on Friday night, the fifth time the team has ever done that at home and the first time the team has ever accomplished that feat at Citi Field.
James Loney, Yoenis Cespedes, Brandon Nimmo and Asdrubal Cabrera all hit homers against Cubs RHP Jason Hammel, with Cabrera hitting two of his own. With a three-run home run in the fourth inning, Nimmo collected the first of his career.
"I'm like a kid in a candy store. … That was amazing," Nimmo said after the game.
