The Mets have spoken to the Giants about Michael Conforto, per a report from Mike Puma of the Post. The longtime Mets outfielder has been in San Francisco for the past two seasons, and thus far this year, he’s hit .226/.298/.415 with 10 home runs and a 103 wRC+.
That slash line is pretty similar to what Conforto did in his final season with the Mets in 2021 and—following shoulder surgery that cost him the entire 2022 season—his first season with the Giants in 2023. In total, Conforto has hit .233/.329/.392 with 39 home runs and a 102 wRC+ since the beginning of the 2021 season.
