The Mets, Yankees, and Blue Jays are among the teams who have contacted the Pirates about trading for 2B Josh Harrison, reports Rob Biertempfel of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
"The Pittsburgh Pirates are going to have to figure out what exactly they want out of this," Newsday's Marc Carig said Thursday night on Mets Hot Stove on SNY. "If it's prospects (the Pirates want), I think the Mets are poorly positioned to make a play for him. If it's money, maybe they're better positioned."
Harrison, 30, hit .272/.339/.432 with a career-high 16 HR, 26 doubles, 47 RBI, and 12 stolen bases in 128 games last season for the Pirates.
