After not garnering enough votes for election to the Hall of Fame during his first three years on the ballot, Mike Piazza will find out a week from today if the fourth time will be the charm.
Piazza has climbed closer to election during each of his years on the ballot, garnering 57.8 percent of the vote in 2013, 66.5 percent in 2014, and 69.9 percent in 2014. At the moment, with 123 public ballots accounted for, Piazza is polling at 90.2 percent, according to Ryan Thibodaux’s tracker. Just 75 percent is needed for election.
