This week, Rich “Goose” Gossage had a few things to say about Jose Bautista, Yoenis Cespedes, Bryce Harper, and baseball in general.
In summary, Gossage does not like bat flips, on-field celebrations, or SABR Metrics (he thinks the game is being run by “nerds” from Harvard). In speaking about Bautista and Cespedes, Gossage told ESPN’s Andrew Marchand:
Bautista is a f—ing disgrace to the game. He’s embarrassing to all the Latin players, whoever played before him. Throwing his bat and acting like a fool, like all those guys in Toronto.
