Life as a Mets fan is not an easy existence, but unfortunately, it's a predictable one.
Monday night, the Mets, playing in perhaps their biggest game of the season, put a lineup on the field some good Triple-A teams might be able to beat. It featured three guys who should be in Triple-A (Mayberry, Recker and Campbell), a guy (Juan Lagares) who may need a trip to Triple-A (or the DL) and one guy (Murphy) who has no business wearing a baseball glove on his hand.
The three best guys in the lineup were a strikeout machine (Curtis Granderson), and two shortstops (Ruben Tejada and Wilmer Flores) who aren't exactly great fielders and aren't great hitters.
