Injuries have been one of the main themes for the Mets this season and that was further revealed on Sunday. Betsy Helfand of the Las Vegas Review Journal reported Tyler Pill and Josh Edgin will both see doctors in New York. 51s pitching coach, Frank Viola revealed Pill has bone chips in his elbow and Edgin had a meniscus tear in his knee.
Edgin was removed from the 40-man roster and designated for assignment to make room for AJ Ramos. When he cleared waivers, the 30-year old southpaw reliever was outrighted to Las Vegas.
