In their apparently fervent attempt to trade Noah Syndergaard somewhere, the Mets are considering a scenario in which they’d trade him to the Padres and use some of that return to acquire Marcus Stroman from the Blue Jays, according to Ken Rosenthal. In a subsequent tweet, Rosenthal notes that the Astros have shifted their focus to acquiring Stroman because they’re reluctant to meet the Mets’ asking price for Syndergaard.
