The Mets do not expect INF T.J. Rivera to return until July as he continues to recover from Tommy John surgery on his right elbow, reports Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.
Assistant GM John Ricco sad Rivera is "still a ways away" from playing in minor league games.
Rivera underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow in September of last season and started a throwing program during spring training, according to Matt Ehalt of The Record. He was previously aiming to return by May, but that has been pushed back.
The 29-year-old landed on the disabled list on June 28 of last season with a partial tear of his UCL and tried to rehab the injury, but opted for surgery.
