Wilson Ramos has struggled to stay on the field in his career and last offseason some questioned the deal the New York Mets gave him because of his injury history. Ramos dealt with an ACL tear in 2016 and missed part of the 2016 and 2017 seasons as a result, and also had a hamstring injury in 2018. With problems to his legs in the last 3 years, it seemed like a risky deal considering a catcher squats behind the plate for 9 innings a game for over 100 games.
After his first season in Flushing, Ramos has shown that the signing should be nothing to worry about.
