The Mets ended their 11-game winning streak as they were defeated by the Yankees 6-1 on Friday night at Yankee Stadium. Coming into the game, Jacob deGrom had 0.93 ERA while Michael Pineda had a 5.00 ERA, but deGrom did not have a good night as he gave up 6 runs over five innings. Michael Pineda was dominant, with the help of his slider and the help of the home plate umpire, striking out 7 over 7.2 innings.
With the loss, the Mets now have a 13-4 record.
