Mets eliminate Nationals’ Tim Bogar from managerial search

The Mets have decided not to bring Nationals first-base coach Tim Bogar in for a third interview, thus eliminating him from consideration to be the next manager, The Post has learned.

Bogar was believed to be among those who did well in the first two rounds of interviews and was going to be brought back in after the Nationals were done with the World Series, which came Wednesday night when they beat the Astros in Game 7.

Instead, Bogar’s removal raises the chances that Carlos Beltran, Padres bench coach Pat Murphy, ESPN’s Eduardo Perez or Twins bench coach Derek Shelton will be the next manager.
