Mets drop series finale as Gee gets roughed up in return

The Mets (29-25) dropped the final game of a three-game series against the San Diego Padres (27-28) on a score of 7-3.

Dillon Gee returned from his stint on the disabled list, but was lit up in his four innings of work.

The evening didn’t start well for Dillon Gee and the Mets. In his first inning back from his one-month long absence, Gee gave up two runs in the first inning, giving the Padres a quick, 2-0 lead.

After recovering in the two subsequent innings, Gee faced more trouble in the fourth inning, by giving up an additional two runs to the Padres.
