It’s a different type of Subway Series.
With the Dodgers and Mets set to meet in the NLDS next week, the trash talk has already begun. Not between the players, but the public transit agencies of Los Angeles and New York.
L.A.’s Metro tweeted at the MTA Wednesday morning — after Clayton Kershaw’s one-hit shutout set the stage for a Dodgers-Mets series — urging them to “tidy up the 7 train” before the Dodgers come to town.
“Hey @MTA please tidy up the 7 tain, @Dodgers blue is coming to town,” the Metro tweet reads. They even punctuated the barb with the #lolmets hashtag.
