Mets third baseman David Wright is expected to miss at least four-to-six weeks due to a herniated disk in his neck, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports reported.
The Mets will call up infielder Matt Reynolds to take Wright’s spot on the roster, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN New York.
Wright has been dealing with the neck issue since earlier this week and had received an injection in the hope that the pain would subside and allow him to play through it.
Instead, he’ll be placed on the 15-day disabled list, joining catcher Travis d’Arnaud (strained rotator cuff) and first baseman Lucas Duda (back).
