SYRACUSE 15, CHARLOTTE 7 (BOX)
What’s gotten into Syracuse lately? They’ve scored 10+ runs in three of their last four games! Mike Vasil wasn’t good, giving up six runs over four innings, but the offense just steamrolled the Knights to the point that it really didn’t matter much. When Vasil was replaced by Kyle Crick, the Mets had a narrow 7-6 lead, but things took off in the second half, as Syracuse outscored their opponents eight runs to one. The middle of the order, Yolmer Sanchez, Jose Azocar, and JT Schwartz, had particularly good games, going a combined 6-11 with three home runs, two stolen bases, and 11 runs batted in.
