Mets Daily Prospect Report, 9/04/24: Blackburn burned in Syracuse, Suero super in Brooklyn

SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 4, SYRACUSE 1 (BOX)

Paul Blackburn was pretty good in his rehab start, limiting the RailRiders to a single run over 6.1 innings of work. A Luke Ritter double in the bottom of the first put Syracuse on the board, and when Blackburn left, the game was knotted up, but the bullpen blew things late. In the eighth, Tyler Zuber gave up two runs and in the ninth, Grant Hartwig gave up one more.

Also of note, Wyatt Young’s twenty-three game on-base streak was snapped.
