WORCHESTER 6, SYRACUSE 3 (BOX)
So, Brandon Sproat made his Triple-A debut. He walked the very first batter he saw, then retired the next six in a row. After that? He gave up six runs in the third inning en route to a defeat in his debut. He gave up seven hits, did not miss many bats, and overall had a rude introduction to Triple-A ball.
The Mets scored three runs, two of which on a Luke Ritter home run, but overall Brandon Sproat was the story of the evening.
