Well, there goes that. Syracuse had a nine-game winning streak, but it come to an end thanks to some crummy pitching on the part of Ervin Santana and an offense that struggled against the assortment of pitchers that the Red Wings sent to the mound, including former Syracuse Met Ryan O’Rourke.
Andres Gimenez hit a two-run homer in the first, his eighth of the year, to give Binghamton a quick 2-0 lead, but the Fisher Cats got the runs right back in the second.
