Vance Worley hasn’t pitched at the Major League level since 2017 and at all since 2018. With the Mets’ need for arms as of late, and more performances like this, the bespectacled right-hander might be able to stamp his return envelope to the show. Worley threw eight strong innings against the Rochester Red Wings, allowing one run on six hits and a walk. Another former major leaguer, Sean Nolin, started for Rochester, but the Syracuse offense had no problems with him or the bullpen that followed.
