Mets Daily Prospect Report, 7/15/24: St. Lucie erupts

SCRANTON / WILKES-BARRE 3, SYRACUSE 2 (BOX)

A middling rehab start for Kodai Senga and a poor outing from Shintaro Fujinami shouldn’t have mattered, as the Mets had a 2-1 lead going into the ninth. Instead, Max Kranick gave up two runs and the Mets lost 3-2. Luke Ritter launched his 13th home run to pace the offense.

Looping back to Senga, the rehabbing right hander tossed 66 innings and struck out three while walking two. He exited healthy - the most important thing - but did seem to show some rust, perhaps because he was starting on four days rest rather than five as he usually does.
