It was a big easy win for New Orleans in Las Vegas rapped out 12 extra base hits in blowing out Las Vegas, plating 16 runs on 20 hits total. Aaron Laffey took the brunt of the abuse from the Baby Cakes batters, allowing 15 hits and 14 runs (12 earned) in three innings. Already down 8-1, Laffey allowed the first six batters to reach in the top of the fourth before his merciful removal. Backup catcher Jeff Glenn pitched two scoreless innings, bouncing back from an earlier mop-up appearance this year where he surrendered six runs in one inning.
