The Fireflies made things interesting in the ninth, but the comeback fell short in a 7-6 loss to Lexington. Simeon Woods-Richardson worked through two scoreless innings but got shelled in the third, walking three, allowing two singles, and uncorking a wild pitch without recording a single out. He was ultimately charged with five runs in 2+ innings, and his implosion erased an early 3-0 lead.
