SCRANTON WILKES-BARRE 6, SYRACUSE 5 (BOX)

The Syracuse Mets got on the board in the bottom of the first inning of Friday night’s game against the Scranton Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, when Gregor Blanco hit a solo homer to lead off the inning. Scranton’s Ryan McBroom took Chris Mazza deep to tie the game at 1-1 in the top of the second. Syracuse took the lead on a sacrifice fly off the bat of David Thompson in the bottom of the fourth, and scored again in the fifth inning on an RBI double from Danny Espinosa.
