Anthony Kay demonstrated once again that he’s too good for Double-A in a 3-0 win over Bowier. Kay tossed seven no-hit innings, walking one and striking out seven. lowering his ERA on the season to a pristine 1.07. He’s gone seven innings in each of his last three starts, allowing only one run since the start of May. That the Mets have no apparent plans to promote him to Triple-A is ridiculous.
