Dom Hamel didn’t exactly have his best stuff, but it didn’t really matter too much, as Syracuse absolutely destroyed Rochester. Starter Jackson Rutledge got tagged for four runs in five innings, old friend Stephen Nogosek gave up 2 runs in 0.2 innings of work, and T.J. Zeuch allowed seven runs in an inning. The only Red Wing pitcher who was worth his weight was another old friend, Robert Gsellman; he tossed two-plus innings of work and did not allow a run, scattering a pair of hits.
