Mets manager Terry Collins said on Wednesday that right-handed reliever Addison Reed is the eighth inning guy at the moment.
“As I’m sitting here at this particular moment, he’s gotta be that eighth inning guy. He’s had the experience doing it, he’s a veteran guy. The way he pitched for us after we got him, he’s the guy. He’s gotta be that guy that you can say ‘hey, go get him.'”
