PORT ST. LUCIE — Jeurys Familia arrived at Tradition Field Tuesday after a busy few days in New York preparing for the 2016 season. The Mets' dominant closer will begin throwing and working out with the team Wednesday to ready himself, but earlier this week he was working with renowned bachata musician Zacarías Ferreíra to create his entrance song.
In a post on The Players' Tribune, Familia explains that he was a long-time fan of Ferreíra.
“For the past few days, Zacarías and I have been in the studio in New York collaborating on a brand new tune — my 2016 entrance music.
