The New York Mets have officially closed their Clover Park facilities to organized workouts. Initial reports seemed to suggest the facilities were going to be entirely closed, but it was later clarified that they would be closed solely to organized workouts. The facilities would still be open to players who wish to use the gym or receive treatment.
According to Ken Rosenthal, a recent MLB memo stated that teams could choose to not shut down their facilities. Given the evolving nature of the coronavirus shutdown, this could change in the future, but for now things have mostly remained at the status quo.
