Mets’ Cespedes good to go; Flores and Uribe, not so much

Not all was gloomy on the Mets’ medical front Friday.

Had the weather cooperated and a game been played, Yoenis Cespedes, who was hit on the hand with a pitch Wednesday in Philadelphia, was scheduled to start.

“If we play, he’ll play,” manager Terry Collins said before the rainout was official.

But that might have been about the extent of the good news. Wilmer Flores said his back was “good,” but his condition was “not good.” Collins said Flores was dealing with strep throat.

And then there’s Juan Uribe, who still is dealing with a chest contusion.
